The challenge
A real estate agency does not sell square metres: it sells trust and local knowledge. But someone flat-hunting is not visiting to "look at a website" — they want to check whether there is anything in their area and at what price. If that lives in a PDF, an Instagram carousel, or requires a phone call to ask the price, most people go to a big portal where they can actually filter. And the agency ends up paying that portal commission to capture its own clients.
The solution
A bespoke site on ASP.NET Core with Razor Pages, built around the property catalogue with a gallery page for each listing. Around it, what a generic portal cannot offer: dedicated sections for valuations, rent collection and legal advice, each with its own contact route — because someone wanting to sell is not the same lead as someone looking for a property manager. The database schema starts from the geographic split (province and locality) so listings can be filtered by area as the catalogue grows. And the institutional pages carry more weight than they seem in this sector: anyone about to sign a lease wants to know who they are dealing with first.
The outcome
The site is live on its own domain, on a dedicated cloud server with a certificate. The agency adds and edits listings from its own panel without touching the design, each service has its own entry point instead of one generic form, and incoming enquiries are recorded with a retention period set in advance. The database backs itself up every night.
