The challenge
Lili sells two very different things: an in-person masterclass with limited seats per city, and one-to-one mentoring with its own diary. Both competed for her time and the same calendar, so a masterclass could clash with mentoring already sold. She charged via Bizum and kept records by hand, with no quick way to know what was paid.
The solution
We modelled both diaries as one system: a masterclass event automatically blocks the mentoring diary for that day, and the database enforces a unique constraint on date and time so double booking is impossible even if two people book at once. Seat availability is always revalidated on the server, never in the browser. For payment, the client uploads her Bizum receipt when booking and Lili confirms it from her panel, which records the income in an exportable CSV ledger. We added a blog with a custom rich-text editor, server-side HTML sanitising and a newsletter with one-click unsubscribe compliant with GDPR and Spanish LSSI.
The outcome
Lili runs events, diary, payments, blog and newsletter from a single account, with no separate admin panel and no dependency on Calendly, Mailchimp or a gateway charging per transaction. The ledger gives her in one click what she used to rebuild by hand.
